Continuous production in offset-printing relies on precise feeding of the sheet into the printer. Apart from the elastomer-coated belts previously used for sheet feeders, an increasing number of alternatives with fabric or soft polyamide surfaces are becoming more common.

Because of its ideal load-elongation behaviour and its lack of dependence on ambient conditions, the E-line requires no re-tensioning even after operation for long periods of time.
